Frequently asked questions

How does Pelipost work?
  • Upload : Enter your loved one's mailing address. Upload your favorite photos to thePelipost app. We'll take it from there!
  • Print : We print, package, and ship your photos directly to your loved one’s correctional facility. All photos are printed on high-quality photo paper.
  • Delivery : From the time your order is placed, your photos usually arrive at your loved one’s correctional facility within 5-7 business days (excludes weekends and holidays). Every order undergoes an inspection by the facility mail staff before its delivered to your incarcerated loved one.
How long does it take for my pictures to get to my loved one?

Orders are shipped the next business day, excluding federal holidays. Once shipped, photos arrive to facility in 5-7 business days. Your loved one will receive photos shortly after that, depending on prison inspection times.

How many days should I allow before contacting Pelipost regarding my order?

Please allow 14 days from date of order to contact us if an order has not been received. This ensures you allow enough time for processing, shipping, delivery, and facility inspection. Keeping in mind the facilities do not process or deliver on weekends or holidays.

Does Pelipost ship to all correctional facilities?

Yes, we send photos to both state and federal prisons. Always check the regulations of the specific facility to make sure you comply with all rules. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our customer support team via email at support@pelipost.com for assistance.

My order was returned by the facility. What now?

Most photo orders returned from a facility will be mailed back directly to Pelipost (unless you are sending to a facility that requires the Sender's actual address). Once they arrive to us, we will update the status on the order history to state "Returned." Please keep in mind that returned orders can take weeks to come back to us. Your loved one should be the first one notified if and WHY an order was not allowed.
Some of the reasons that your photos are returned may include the following:

  • Your incarcerated loved one has been moved.
  • Your incarcerated loved one is no longer in custody.
  • The photos you sent have violated a policy of the prison.
  • The address was entered incorrectly.
  • Incorrect ID #
  • Prohibited Content: If your order is returned because of prohibited content, our team can remove prohibited photos and resend your order for a $2.49 reprocessing fee. This fee covers the cost of postage and handling.
  • Incorrect Inmate Information: If your order is returned because of an incorrect mailing address or ID #, our team can correct the info and resend your order for a $2.49 reprocessing fee. This fee covers the cost of postage and handling.

Please ensure that you are aware of the institution's specific policies regarding the photos being delivered to inmates. If you have any questions about a facility's policies, please reach out to our Customer Support Team and we'll be happy to assist you.If your photos are returned by the facility, we will not be able to issue you a refund for your order.

Where are my Pelipoints?

Now with our new upgrade version of the Pelipost App, you will earn 10 points for every dollar spent. You are now able to redeem points at checkout.Previously you could only redeem points once you had a minimum balance of 300 points.

What finish is used on your photo prints?

Pelipost offers two different finishes for your photos. Need help deciding which would be the best choice for you? Let's break it down!

SUPER Gloss: This is our most POPULAR option. Super Gloss gives your photos that studio quality glossy shine, all while providing protection from scruffs and scratches and keep them looking SHARP!

BASIC: Our Basic finish, is uncoated, semi glossed prints. The Basic finish is good option for you if you are sending to a facility that still insist on photo copying photos for your incarcerated love ones. The semi gloss finish cuts down on any glare on the copy.

Either choice you make you are in good hands with Pelipost!
